Married Harry Salyards M.D. 1973. Children: Shannon Marie 1979 Married B.M. St Olaf College 2001 M.A. Boston University. Scott Salyards 1981 B.A. Knox College. Lives and Works in Chicago.

Fulltime practice medicine in Hastings 1977 to 2011. Delivered over 1,000 babies. Named outstanding alumna of University Med School Family Medicine residency program 2004. Taught medical students for 33 years. Retired 1/1/11.

Played first violin in Hastings Symphony for 25 years. Gardening, knitting, and collecting are outside interests.

Served 8 years on Hastings Planning and Zoning commission. Active in League of Women Voters, Highland Park Arboretum, etc. Master gardener.

Love retirement. Travel, gardening, puppy, yoga, reading, music, etc..........

First woman in full time private practice in greater Nebraska. First married couple in joint practice in greater Nebraska. Still happily married after 38 years, very blessed !!!
