1/4/11 Update:
As of my last installment I continue to live in Madison, WI. Joan and I will celebrate 20 years as of April 2011. She has moved her office to a small remodeled building ( second garage ) on our lot and loves not driving to work. I continue to work at the Mental Health Center and recently discovered a new book by Karen Armstrong that may become one of my favorites.

Becoming one of the 'Golden Girls' is an interesting and at times a challenging experience. Hope to see some of you this summer

Hi Friends,
I am in Madison, WI with my partner of 16 years Joan Fuller. We have two cats and now only one dog. Joan is an acupuncturist in private practice and I work at the Mental Health Center of Dane County. Prior to Madison I lived in Albuquerque, NM for 13 years. I originally went there to attend the University of New Mexico and complete my long awaited MFA (which I did do) but also made friends and stayed a long time.

Since moving here I have become involved with Deer Park Buddhist Center and have had the great privilege of being in teachings with the Dalai Lama twice and a third time is on the way this summer.

I have decided that this year I will take some new risks so am getting involved in some community activities with a Youth Court and a Grassroots Leadership College that I am enjoying a good bit. I seem to be heading my compass toward work with Peacemaking and nonviolence. I hope to attend an immersion training in Nonviolent Communication this year.

OK enough. Hope to see some of you in the next few years.
