5/16/10:
I've enjoyed reading some of the bios on this website. So I'll try to do my part. Very nice idea!

On my work: I've been involved in biomedical and electrical engineering research and teaching for 30+ years. After attending UNL, I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. -- which became my education and mating area: Carmen and I started having children. Soon thereafter, we moved to the Raleigh, North Carolina area for nesting -- and a semi-stable job for feeding and buying the nest. (Oh I do miss San Francisco.)

We have 2 wonderful daughters now. I never thought I would be surrounded by 3 women!

Our daughters are both young adults. This is still a very difficult concept for me to comprehend and accept. Likewise, comprehending my own age is very difficult. Fortunately, I don't believe such mental voids are an early sign of dementia.

Our older daughter is a lawyer and volunteer specializing in immigration law. Our younger daughter just graduated from college a couple of days ago! She's interested in animals, zoology, animals, people, and education. No grandchildren yet!!
