| 1/5/11 Update: My gypsy life has taken me to Westchester County, NY (close to NYC) to be near my daughter. She is a Division 1 basketball coach (didn't get the athletic genes from me) and her schedule didn't allow much time for us to be together. Plus, I have basketball in my blood after 22 years of watching her play and coach. I am still doing a little fundraising consulting, if the projects grab my heart and tutor remedial writing for college students. When I left Nebraska to go to DC in the mid-70's I was going to change the world. Have to admit it changed but not necessarily the way I had it planned. I haven't changed that much--still like to make up my own rules but found my desire to do so is less. I've given up fast cars and late night outs but still like to "trip the light fantastic" (dance). I am an avid reader, hiker but the most important thing is to be of service--a family value. I keep in contact with my old buddies Cindy Wagner, Nancy Dean, Jane Bailey, Avery Woods and Marcia Goldenstein. It is nonstop laughing and talking when we get together. Looking forward to seeing some of you in July. Love to hear from some of my classmates.
Better late than never--I will be attending Friday night. I will pay at the door, if possible. I look forward to seeing everyone. I am alive and well in Omaha. Mother, Divorcee, Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt, Friend, Writer, Semi-Retired and soon to be Graduate Student (for the third time). Having skipped 1/2 of my junior year, my high school teachers particularly the Dean of Boys who I visited on more than one occasion would be quite surprised by my academic journey. |
