6/10/10 Update:
Software contractor. Currently working on a Web application providing dentists and their patients with online access to dental videos. Previous assignment: a Web app enabling TV folk to create interactive TV apps enabling viewers to buy stuff using only a TV remote.

Married 39 years (!!) to LaJune (Turner) Thorson, LSE '67. LaJune was Oregon Counselor of the Year for 2005-2006 before retiring from the Oregon schools; now enjoying a "working retirement" as a counselor at Woodland (WA) High School. Our first date: Knights tournament basketball game, Pershing Auditorium, March 6, 1966. Yes, that's 44+ years ago. (Knights lost, we won.) In 2009 we realized a longtime goal of moving into an urban highrise condo and are now enjoying Portland's vibrant downtown (when we're not too tired).

Two sons:
* Thomas Thorson, age 28, graduated with honors, University of Oregon Clark Honors College, 2000. Now a rock musician, composer, recording engineer and music producer (
