7/7/11 Update:
Time seems to fly by these days—cannot believe we have been out of school 45 years. I remember some of the antics my friends and I were a party to. We get together about every other month and go to dinner. I am very proud to be able to still call these “girls” my friends.

John and I have been together 21 years now. He keeps busy (retired air guard) with golf, bowling, fishing, gardening, bird feeding and taking care of me. We have two cockatiels as pets, Maxie and Samie. Samie talks and Maxie just whistles which irritates Samie.

John has two granddaughters – Anna 6 and Ellie 3. They are the apples of grandpa’s eyes. My grandsons, Garrett 18 (just graduated from SE) and Dalton 12 grew up way to fast. Garrett is on to college here at the U. Dalton has 2 more years and then on to SE. Grandchildren are one of the great joys of life. Enjoy them while you can, as they grow up so very fast.

I am on my 32nd year of work @Windstream Supply. I started as a secretary in August of 1979 and became Distribution Center Manager 12 years ago. Retirement is now in my sights the next few years.

In between work, grandchildren, shopping with my sister, bowling with John, bingo with the girls, and taking care of my 94 year old mother who still lives on her own, you might say I do keep busy.

I soooo look forward to each and every reunion. Down the road the girls may have to push me in my wheelchair, but I will be there.

Have five years really gone by since our last reunion???  Not much has changed in those past five years.  I am still working at Alltel (27 years) as a Distribution Center Manager, which will soon be called Windstream Communications.

John and I spend Saturday mornings at Parkway Lanes.  My two grandsons, Garrett, 12 and Dalton, 7, both bowl.  Garrett has been bowling ever since he learned to walk and Dalton just started.  John has a new granddaughter, Anna, 1 year old, whom we love to babysit.  Our grandchildren and birds, Buddy and Baby, keep us young.  John keeps us all healthy with his good cooking.  I am very proud to say that after 44 years of smoking, I quit 4 months ago.  I am looking forward to seeing all of you at our reunion this year.
