6/28/11 Update:
For the last five years I have been running the the malpractice insurer that I started in 2006. This is a lot of fun and not at all a stressful "hobby". I even get to work with attorneys and send them hundreds of thousands of dollars a year so that they will return my phone calls.

On a more serious note, for the last 3 years I have been involved in the development of Imaging Informatics products and have recently been granted two US patents in that area with three international patents pending.

I somehow have maintained my medical practice taking care of patients with pain and addiction issues that other doctors don't want to treat. I was recently selected by my peers, who were polled by Consumers' Checkbook, a national nonprofit organization, as one of three best doctors specializing in Pain Medicine in Las Vegas, which really caught me by surprise. I continue to serve as a volunteer on our state's Controlled Substance Abuse Task Force and Medicaid Drug Utilization Review Board.

Marcia and I have one son, Ben who is starting his senior year in high school and plans to attend the University of Washington next year at the age of 17. I am looking forward to seeing you all in July and catching up on your doings!
