Fritz is alive and well in Idaho, his adopted state.  At the risk of sounding full of himself, Idaho has been good to him.  Life is good, his family is good, his practice his good, and he has drawn much from Idaho and hopefully contributed something back.

We live on the Boise River, which has been at 300% of normal flows until last week, but no sand bags were needed as the river is now retreating as is the long wet, cool Spring. There is still snow visible from my office, but today it was in the 90's in Boise; it is a climate like we Nebraskans never see but all would certainly enjoy. That said, I miss my old home state, and ponder often my departure, but this path less traveled has proved fruitful and I have no regrets, only fond memories which I look forward to rekindling in a few weeks with my old friends.

I am married to a great person-Wendy, and her son, a junior at Timberline HS, and my daughter, Emily, age 20, a sophomore at Boise State, are prospering, growing and learning, as we did when we were their age- although I regret in a more troublesome world than we faced.

My interests are not unpredictable: practicing law (in a new firm we created a year ago), skiing, reading, fly fishing and biking; gardening and planting zinnias from seed this Spring; chairing the Boise YMCA Board, and being the eldest living member of the Ada County Air Quality Board.  Without apology, I will look forward to returning to St. Martin for a week the day after this next Thanksgiving after a houseful and spend every weekend we can in our cabin in McCall.
