Charles has continued residence in Lincoln since high school. He graduated
from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and has worked as an analytical
chemist with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture for the past 21 years.
He is married to Laura (Eaton)Focht who is the call center coordinator for
St. Elizabeth Community Health Center. They met while Charles was teaching
a class in stained glass art many years ago. They have a son, Justin, 35,
who manages a printing company in Denver, Colorado and is a dedicated
snowboarder. Charles and Laura avidly attend local and regional arts and music performances, and are particularly fond of opera. They have traveled extensively throughout the country, often in participation with regional and national meetings of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists International. Charles plans on retiring in 2010, and plans to begin more frequent traveling throughout the country and internationally. |
